Africa Expedition 2025
Chip speaks to the multitudes….
We started off our day at the ————— school. Translation has been lost on VBS for today, but what we really were doing was speaking to a school of over 500 students.
Chip was our teacher for VBS (what we thought we were doing) so he was up as the speaker. So, with little introduction of our team he was up in front of more than 500 kids, teaching the story of David and Goliath. His boldness and passion for teaching the kids is inspiring…those who haven’t seen the serious side of Chip and his passion for young people are really missing a blessing.
Faith shares with the kids…
Faith followed Chips lesson with a testimony of leading a friend to know Christ. It was a very long time that Faith had been sharing and encouraging her friend to come to know Christ. Finally she shared with the students that her friend did eventually get saved at youth camp and it was worth all the hard work and prayer she had spend to teach her friend about the love of Jesus.
Robert presents the gospel….
“The Evangelist” as he has became know as here in Kilgoris. He taught the kids to yell “Sooner” after he would yell “Boomer”. We really can’t take this guy anywhere.
But then, as he always does, he took the story of David, he took and Evangecube, and he presented the gospel to the multitude of children in the school. They listened with intent as he spoke. If we could learn something from the school today, it might be the discipline of hundreds of children is quite possible. Robert finished up with a great example of how to come to know Jesus as your personal savior.
Uriah shares his own salvation experience….
He shares the story of his own recognition of needing Jesus to be his own savior. He spoke boldly and with confidence. It was a wonderful time that we were able to see as the kids listened to his story about coming to know Jesus.
Rachel shares testimony at the school….
She talked to the children about the long journey of prayer and preparation of many years hoping to be able to come to minister in Kenya as a family.
April speaks to the children….
April allowed God to use her to speak with the students. If you know Mrs. April you know she isn’t excited about the idea of speaking in a crowd. It was a wonderful thing to see her step out of the comfort of the porch and into the yard as she went to share with our little friends here at the school.
After the school we went for door to door evangelism….
We had several good meetings and were able to pray for many people and the needs they had. We did aid one young girl with a dr. visit and had several salvations during the time we were gone.
The open air crusade went smoothly as well. Once again Uriah shared testimony, Rachel shared testimony and Mr Quick presented the gospel. There was quite a large crowd of church members but not a lot of visitors. There were no salvations that we were made aware of although it was still in progress as we left.
Overall today was a great day. We are tired, but we are excited! The fatigue we have is a small price to pay for all the results we have already seen this year. With our VBS starting tomorrow excitement is building as we take our supper and prepare for the morning.
Goodnight church, and continue to pray for our team, the Kenyan team, and the hearts of those we will minister too.
Thank you for sending us,
Todd Crabtree.
Today was an outstanding day of outreach and Street Evangelism. Lives got changed. Decisions got made. May God get all the glory.
