Pastor Ezekiel’s Church Update
This is the update Ezekiel posted to his church and friends in Africa!
A DREAM BECOMING REALITY
Just sitting here thinking about our upcoming mission in Laikipia, and then this picture popped up.
For a moment, I just stopped and looked at it.
This picture took me back ten years,back to our very first mission together with Pastor Todd in the mountains of Osinoni.
I remember that journey so clearly. As we were coming down after ministering at the mountains, I shared something that was burning in my heart. I told Pastor Todd that my desire was not only to do ministry within my own area, but to take the Gospel beyond our boundaries,to other communities, other regions, and eventually to other countries.
At the time, it was simply a dream.
I did not know how it would happen.
I did not know where the resources would come from.
I did not know how many years it would take.
I only knew that God had placed the desire in my heart.
Today, ten years later, I look at this picture and realize that God was already writing a story that I could not see at the time.
What started in the mountains of Osinoni has brought us to places we never imagined. The relationship that began through that first mission has grown into a partnership, a friendship, and a shared burden for the Great Commission.
And now, as we prepare to cross over into Laikipia/Rumuruti, something even more beautiful is happening.
This time, we are not simply going as individuals.
Ten equipped leaders from Kilgoris DCMI Church will be crossing over from Kilgoris to Laikipia to join the mission and minister alongside us.
That touches my heart deeply.
Because the dream was never just about me going.
The dream was about seeing a generation equipped, prepared, and sent.
Ten years ago, I was talking about wanting to go beyond my boundaries.
Today, God is allowing us to send others beyond theirs.
That is what makes this moment so special.
I am also deeply grateful to Pastor Todd and Church at West Mountain, Texas, for believing in the vision and faithfully facilitating and supporting this mission. Thank you for walking with us through the years, for praying with us, giving toward the work, encouraging us, and believing that what God is doing in Kenya is worth investing in.
Sometimes God gives you a dream before He shows you the road.
You carry the dream.
You pray over it.
You wait.
You take one step at a time.
And then one day, you look back and realize that God was faithful all along.
From Osinoni in 2016 to Laikipia in 2026.
From a conversation about a dream to ten equipped leaders being sent out.
From one mission trip to a growing partnership.
From a young pastor carrying a vision in his heart to watching that vision become reality.
This is more than a conference.
This is a testimony.
This is a dream becoming reality.
And as we prepare for the River of Life Conference 2026, “From Trials to Triumph” (James 1:2–8), I can only say:
Ebenezer! Thus far the Lord has helped us. — 1 Samuel 7:12
The journey continues.
Laikipia, we are coming.
The Great Commission is our mandate.
Jesus is our message.
People are our mission.
And God gets all the glory.
