Pastor Ezekiels Journey with the Kilgoris Team
LAIKIPIA MISSION 2026 | DAY ONE – THE JOURNEY BEGINS
Hello everyone,
Our day began as early as 5:00 a.m., when every member of our mission team woke up and prepared to leave home for Kilgoris Town, where we were to assemble before beginning our long journey to Rumuruti.
We had a few eventualities, including some members arriving about 30 minutes later than the agreed time, but this was due to reasonable circumstances. By 7:20 a.m., everyone was together, our vehicles were fueled, and we gathered for prayer before setting off.
By God's grace, we had a smooth and safe journey. Our first stop was Kericho Town, where we took some refreshments and refreshed ourselves before continuing. We later stopped at Subukia, where we had an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery and surroundings of the Subukia shrines.
As they say, you can't separate evangelism from tourism! We were grateful for the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of God's creation along the way.
From Subukia, we proceeded to Nyahururu, where we stopped for lunch and shared a meal together as a team. At 3:30 p.m., we began the final leg of our journey to Rumuruti.
By God's grace, we arrived and checked into the hotel at approximately 4:45 p.m., which will be our home throughout this week. Most of our team members were understandably tired after the long journey, but at the same time, everyone was excited and ready for the task ahead.
Then, around 6:30 p.m., the USA mission team, led by George, arrived safely in Rumuruti and checked into their hotel. After 8:00 p.m., I had the opportunity to go and welcome them personally. We spent some time together, shared a meal, and fellowshipped as one team.
What a beautiful way to begin this mission!
The journey has been long, but our hearts are full of expectation. We believe God has brought us to Laikipia for a purpose, and we are trusting Him for open doors, divine connections, transformed lives, and a powerful move of God throughout this mission.
We therefore continue to ask you to stand with us in prayer and support. Your prayers, encouragement, and generosity are helping make this mission possible.
